Practice in Class
Accidents that can happen at Home: Common causes of home injuries(受伤) deaths are fire(失火) and burns(烧伤或烫伤), suffocation, drowning, choking(噎死), falls, poisoning(中毒), and guns.
Keep the person quiet(安静). Walking, talking, and blowing the nose will increase the bleeding(流血). Sit down and lean forward. Do not lean back, as the blood(血) may flow down your throat and cause you to choke(呛;噎). Press on the bleeding(流血的) nostril with a clean cloth / tissue. Keep the pressure on the nose for about 15 minutes.
Stop Burning Immediately
a) Put out fire or stop the person‘s contact with hot liquid(液体), liquid(蒸汽), or other material.
b) Help the person "stop, drop, and roll" to smother flames.
c) Remove(除去) smoldering material from the person.
d) Remove hot or burned(烧着的) clothing. If clothing sticks to skin(皮肤), cut or tear around it.
If you suspect someone has swallowed a poison(毒药), get help right away. Try to determine what caused the poisoning(中毒) and have the person\\\'s age and weight ready to give to the person who answers the phone.
